CAD Technician – Facades

Salary: £35,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

About the role:

Salter Grange is seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Technician to join a growing Facades Team for an engineering consultancy based in London. The successful candidate will support the production of high-quality façade detailing and fabrication drawings, working closely with designers, engineers, and project teams on a range of commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce accurate façade detailing and fabrication drawings in line with project requirements and industry standards
• Work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating effectively with small project teams
• Assist in the development and coordination of façade packages, from design through to fabrication
• Ensure drawings are compliant with relevant UK standards, regulations, and best practices
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design and technical issues

Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ experience in façade detailing and fabrication drawings
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within small teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with curtain wall systems
• Experience with rainscreen cladding systems (preferred)
• Understanding of façade construction methods and detailing
• Experience working within the UK market
• Familiarity with UK building regulations, standards, and façade industry practices
