The Role:
You’ll play a key role in producing 2D and 3D technical drawings and models that support the development and implementation of complex smart lighting systems. Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and production teams, you'll ensure each solution is functional, visually effective, and compliant with all industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret lighting layout drawings from clients and contractors
* Use AutoCAD to create and prepare drawing backdrops
* Export designs to graphical supervisor software (e.g., Perspective)
* Build and populate lighting databases and network trees to support pre-commissioning
* Produce and revise detailed technical drawings and schematics
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical queries
* Maintain accurate documentation and drawing revisions
* Support the estimating team with technical input on quotations
* Stay up-to-date with latest CAD, lighting, and smart building technologies
What You’ll Need:
* Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design or related technical field
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally additional CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino)
* CAD Certification
* Experience in 2D and 3D modelling and rendering
* Familiarity with electrical drawings and schematics
* Prior experience within lighting, electronics, smart technology or manufacturing sectors
* Understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEC, CE) and quality processes
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and time management
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset
