Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Draughtsman for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role involves working on innovative projects in a hybrid work environment, combining office-based work in Biggin Hill with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.\n\nJob Requirements\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.\nUnderstanding of design and engineering principles.\nEffective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.\nOrganisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCreate, revise, and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD and 3D CAD software.\nCollaborate with project leads to interpret design requirements and ensure project goals are met.\nIntegrate current and new drawings into a cohesive design framework.\nReview and verify drawings for completeness and adherence to standards.\nAssist in resolving design discrepancies by proposing solutions and incorporating feedback.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field.\nFamiliarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI) and technical drawing conventions.\nExperience with 3D modelling or rendering for visualisation purposes.\nAdaptability to learn new CAD tools or workflows as needed.\n\nWork Environment\n\nThe role offers a hybrid work model, with office-based duties in Biggin Hill and the flexibility to work from home two days per week. The initial contract is for six months, with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance.
