CAD CAM Engineer Location: Consett, DH8 Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hours/week) Contract: Permanent (6-month probation) Salary: Discussed at interview About the Role We're looking for a proactive and highly motivated CAD CAM Engineer to join our engineering team at a manufacturing site in the Consett area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, precision design work, and collaborating across departments to deliver bespoke engineered products. What You'll Be Doing Designing and programming custom products based on customer specifications. Creating accurate BOMs, routings, and volume data. Producing engineering drawings and 3D models using Radan, AutoCAD, and Inventor. Supporting sales and quotations teams with technical drawings and clarifications. Conducting tooling audits to support production efficiency. Working closely with shop-floor leaders to resolve production queries. Providing realistic timescales for customer orders. Performing nesting for standard and bespoke components. Contributing to new product development and industrialisation projects. Programming samples for R&D and technical teams.
