Buyer - Oxford

I'm partnering with a leading organisation renowned for delivering high quality, bespoke solutions to its clients. They are currently looking to recruit a Buyer to manage the sourcing, ordering, and procurement of parts, components, and consumables.

Package: Up to £45,000

Location: Oxford (Onsite)

Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Supply Coordination

Source components, materials, and operational supplies through approved manufacturers, distributors, and supply partners.

Generate purchase orders aligned with agreed budgets, technical requirements, and business needs.

Confirm that all purchased items meet certification, compliance, and traceability standards.

Monitor order progress, manage delivery timelines, and address any supply disruptions or delays in a timely manner.

Supplier & Partner Engagement

Develop and manage working relationships with manufacturers, accredited distributors, and approved supply partners.

Review supplier performance against agreed service levels, focusing on quality, delivery accuracy, and contractual compliance.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify suppliers that provide the most effective balance of cost, quality, and reliability.

Materials & Records Management

Inspect received goods to ensure they meet required specifications, approvals, and certification criteria.

Maintain up-to-date purchasing and inventory records within relevant systems.

Liaise with warehouse and operational teams to support appropriate stock availability and inventory control.

What we're looking for:

Experience in materials procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support in the automotive or aerospace sector
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for materials
Ability to perform under pressure in time critical situations
Proficiency with ERP or MRO systems
