Our client, a leading manufacturer in its field, is seeking a Buyer to join their dynamic team in Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to step into a pivotal role, driving purchasing strategy across direct and indirect categories.

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and services essential to efficient production operations. You’ll negotiate supplier contracts, manage performance, and support continuous improvement—delivering real value through cost savings, quality assurance, and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end purchasing of materials and services for manufacturing operations
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and value-added solutions
• Monitor supplier performance and address non-conformances
• Support ERP system improvements (SAP)
• Collaborate closely with internal departments and external stakeholders

About You:

• Proven experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
• Results-driven, detail-oriented, and confident working independently
