The successful candidate will be joining a small purchasing team, and will have the opportunity to further develop their career with an expanding and successful business.Buyer - Manufacturing Position OverviewResearching and identifying potential suppliersComparing and evaluating supplier quotations to ensure best value and suitability.Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements.Tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.Reviewing the quality and suitability of purchased goods.Entering supplier information, pricing, and stock details into the ERP system and maintaining accurate purchasing records.Preparing cost analysis and procurement reports.Monitoring stock levels and placing orders based on ERP-driven demand.Contributing to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies.Assessing supply-chain risks and supporting mitigation planning.Working as part of a small purchasing team, supporting shared objectives and operational continuity.Buyer - Manufacturing Position RequirementsProven purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environmentConfident user of MS Office and ERP/MRP software such as OrderWise, Sage, SAP, or similar.Ability to understand technical drawings, manufacturing processes, and engineeringBased in a commutable distance of BasingstokeStrong communication skills both written and verbalBuyer - Manufacturing Position Remuneration Salary: £30,000 - £33,0005 hours per week.
