Buyer required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer based in the Basingstoke area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join an expanding and successful business. The successful candidate will be joining a small purchasing team, and will have the opportunity to further develop their career with an expanding and successful business.
Buyer - Manufacturing Position Overview
Researching and identifying potential suppliers Comparing and evaluating supplier quotations to ensure best value and suitability. Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and supply agreements. Tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. Reviewing the quality and suitability of purchased goods. Entering supplier information, pricing, and stock details into the ERP system and maintaining accurate purchasing records. Preparing cost analysis and procurement reports. Monitoring stock levels and placing orders based on ERP‑driven demand. Contributing to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies. Assessing supply‑chain risks and supporting mitigation planning. Working as part of a small purchasing team, supporting shared objectives and operational continuity.
