About the Role
As a Buyer at NOV, you will play a vital role within our dynamic Pumps Procurement team. This position is essential in ensuring the efficiency of our supply chain, contributing directly to our world-class operations in energy and industrial solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, from issuing RFQs to managing vendor performance and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate subcontractors based on capability, quality, and cost
Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain supplier relationships
Place purchase orders in compliance with company policies and ethical standards
Track and expedite orders to meet project and operational timelines
Support supplier qualification processes, audits, and performance evaluations
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and secure timely procurement
Develop supplier KPIs and monitor cost-saving initiatives
Lead or assist in contract negotiations with procurement leadership
Leverage data to drive informed procurement decisions and improve outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree plus procurement experience OR relevant experience without a degree
APICS/MCIPS or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in purchasing raw materials or machined parts is advantageous
Proficient in ERP systems, preferably JDE
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
Proficient in data analysis and Excel
Capable of managing multiple priorities and cross-functional tasks
High integrity with sound judgment and strategic mindset
