Artemis Human Capital is seeking a skilled and motivated Buyer to join a leading Fit Out organisation in a key procurement role. You will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring materials essential to the successful delivery of high-quality projects across a variety of sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside project teams, site managers, estimators, and suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. In this position, you will play a vital role in maintaining efficiency and cost control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring procurement processes align with timelines and business objectives. Responsibilities and Duties Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sourcing and pricing all materials as per project budgets and technical drawings Preparing and maintaining procurement schedules and distributing updates to the project team weekly Monitoring and reporting actual costs against tendered estimates Issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers to manage lead times and resolve discrepancies Managing supplier relationships and responding effectively to challenges in the supply chain Ensuring all procured materials and services meet required health, safety, and environmental standards Collaborating with the estimating team during tender stages to support accurate cost forecasting Skills and Experience Essential Criteria: Strong literacy and numeracy skills Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines Proficient with MS Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook Strong communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams High level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality Well-organised with strong time-management skills Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in a buying or procurement role Familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments, particularly joinery-related projects Contact Get in touch with Nicky Strutt for more information
