About Us: Reliant Machinery is a global leader in flatbed lamination, producing innovative, high-quality machinery exported worldwide, with over 50 years in the industry.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Buyer/Purchaser to join our existing team.

\n

The role involves:

\n

Liaising with the Engineering and Production departments to negotiate, purchase and track progress of parts required for our machinery production.

\n

We would be particularly interested in speaking to candidates who have previous experience in similar roles.

\n

Range of duties include:

\n

\n Creating and managing purchase orders.

\n

Negotiating pricing and delivery timescales.

\n

Chasing progress of goods on order.

\n

Requesting quotations for goods.

\n

Establishing purchasing requirements based on Bill of Materials spreadsheets

\n

Engaging with suppliers and developing key supplier relationships.

\n

Stores management, stock taking and reports.

\n

\n

Successful candidates should ideally have:

\n

\n At least 3 years purchasing experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

\n

Have proven communication skills in person, and via telephone and email.

\n

Be able to read basic dimensional drawings.

\n

Be familiar with some engineering processes and materials.

\n

Have good Microsoft Excel skills plus the ability to lean new IT systems.

\n

Demonstrate previous experience of managing own time/ workload.

\n

Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised with and strong work ethic.

\n
