Butcher Temp to perm Banbridge £13 - £15 depending on experience Monday - Saturday (with an agreed day of either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday) Gentech are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Banbridge who are expanding on their team of Butchers. Duties Prepare, cut, and package various types of meat according to specifications. Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately. Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat products and preparation methods. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food production. Skills Proficient in kitchen operations with a strong understanding of culinary techniques. Extensive knowledge of butcher skills, including cutting, trimming, and deboning meat. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance. Experience in food production environments, preferably within a restaurant or similar setting. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
