A brand-new opportunity for a Business Support Data Analyst to work for a long-running and innovative company in North Lincolnshire. This is a temporary contract role for an initial 12 months (to be reviewed annually thereafter). This role delivers essential Data Analyst and Administrative Support within the Business Support team, with a strong emphasis on improving overall efficiency and effectiveness. It provides cross-functional assistance across key operational and analytical activities, contributing to data-driven processes while also managing a range of administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth and seamless team operations. THE ROLE: General - Provide cross-functional support and contribute to analytical processes by sharing expertise that promotes a proactive, forward‑thinking approach. - Develop, maintain, and optimise Power BI metrics to enhance the effectiveness and performance of the Business Support function. Data Analyst - Work collaboratively with the team to understand challenges, identify opportunities for digitisation, and drive improvements in efficiency. - Conduct comprehensive data analysis-including data gathering, cleansing, validation, and quality control-to uncover trends and insights that support informed decision‑making. - Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards in Power BI, extracting and transforming data from multiple sources, including SAP. - Take ownership of recurring reporting activities, respond to ad‑hoc data requests, and remain up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, reporting, and emerging AI applications. Administration - Actively collaborate with Business Support team members, providing cross‑functional assistance across various areas as required. - Manage a range of procurement activities in SAP, including the creation and processing of purchase requisitions. - Provide ad‑hoc support with the organisation and maintenance of technical documentation. - Assist with inter‑departmental administrative cover-such as Reception, Training, and other functions-when needed. THE CANDIDATE: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels. - Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Knowledge of data modelling and data enrichment techniques, along with experience using data analysis tools such as Power BI. - Proficient in all Microsoft 365 applications. - Preferred understanding of SAP systems. - Skilled in producing clear graphical representations and data visualisations, including dashboards and reports in Power BI. - Able to work independently using own initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team; motivated to learn and develop new skills. - Flexible and adaptable to change, with a positive approach to leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. - Proactive and holistic problem‑solver, able to consider wider impacts and identify effective solutions.
