Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position of Business Development Manager\n\nJob Title: Business Development Manager\n\nReporting to: Managing Director\n\nSalary: £35,000 £44.000 DOE + car allowance + commission\n\nBased: From home/office Hybrid role, includes travel\n\nOur client is a UK based specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and refurbishment of outdoor sports and play facilities – from Multi use games areas (MUGAs) and skate parks to playground equipment, street furniture and youth shelters. They work with local authorities, schools, universities, housing developers and contractors, delivering high quality, durable products across the UK.\n\nThey are looking for someone with fresh ideas who can drive growth and help us unlock new markets.\n\nThe role:\n\n * Identify target and win new business opportunities in the UK (for example local authorities, schools, developers, architectural practices\n\n * Develop and manage the full business development process: from market intelligence, lead generation, proposal/pitch development, to contract negotiation and securing the win\n\n * Work closely with the internal team (design, fabrication, installation, project management) to ensure commercially viable propositions and smooth handover from sale to delivery\n\n * Explore and develop new sectors for business opportunities\n\n * Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders (decision makers in schools, councils, developers, architects, company groups) to expand the pipeline and deepen the network\n\n * Develop compelling value led commercial propositions\n\n * Monitor and report on business development metrics and feed market insights back into strategy\n\n * Represent the company at industry events, conferences, frameworks and client meetings\n\nPerson Specification\n\nEssential\n\n * Proven track record of business development success in a B2B context\n\n * Strong commercial acumen: able to identify new markets, build value propositions manage sales cycles, negotiate contracts\n\n * Excellent communication and presentation skills: able to engage senior stakeholders and articulate complex solutions simply\n\n * Relationship builder: able to form and maintain professional relationships across a range of stakeholders and sectors\n\n * Strategic mindset: comfortable exploring and developing new markets yet able to work practically and drive deals through to close\n\n * Self motivated and proactive: able to work independently, set goals, manage time and priorities, and deliver to targets\n\n * Willingness to travel across the UK and attend client meetings, site visits, exhibitions\n\nDesirable\n\n * Understanding of procurement processes in public sector (local authorities, schools, councils) or construction/fit out sectors\n\n * Experience in a project-led environment where specification, manufacturing and instalment combine\n\n * Interest in outdoor/leisure/sport/play sectors\n\nFurther details\n\nLocation: Based in Sheffield/ from Sheffield office or hybrid with UK travel\n\nFull time role 37.5 hour per week (Mon – Fri)\n\nSalary: £35,000 pa car allowance, + commission/ bonus based on new business targets\n\nReports to: Managing Director
