Business Development Manager - Defence & AerospaceLocation: UK (Field-Based)Salary: Up to £70,000 Basic + 20% Bonus + Car/Allowance + Excellent BenefitsAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth within the Defence and Aerospace sectors, selling high-precision CNC machining and engineered solutions into Tier 1, Tier 2, and OEM customers.This is a strategic, field-based role focused on developing new relationships, managing key procurement stakeholders, and securing long-term manufacturing contracts. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, influencing technical and commercial decision-makers, and converting complex engineered solution sales.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, target, and win new business within defence and aerospace marketsSell CNC machining services and engineered manufacturing solutionsEngage and build strong relationships with Procurement Managers, Supply Chain Directors, and Engineering leadsManage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract awardDevelop strategic account plans for key target customersWork closely with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutionsMeet and exceed revenue and margin targetsThe Ideal CandidateProven track record of selling engineered solutions into the defence sector, or CNC machining services into aerospace & defenceExperience dealing with procurement and supply chain stakeholdersStrong commercial negotiation and closing skillsTechnical understanding of precision engineering and CNC machining processesSelf-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomouslyExperience managing long and complex sales cyclesWhat's on OfferBasic Salary: Up to £70,000Bonus: 20% performance-related bonusCompany Car: Choice of car or car allowance up to £780 per monthPension SchemeLife Insurance26 Days Holiday + option to buy additional daysWellness ProgrammeProfit Sharing SchemeShare Save SchemeEyecare SchemeWhy Join Us?You'll be joining a well-established precision engineering business with strong capabilities in CNC machining and engineered manufacturing solutions.
