Ascendex Ltd specialises in logistics and supply chain solutions, supported by a team with extensive industry experience. Partnered with the APC Overnight network since July this year, Ascendex serves B2B and B2C clients across multiple sectors, managing shipments from under 1 kg to multi-parcel consignments, including limited quantity hazardous goods and liquids, from our current facility based on the Tyne Tunnel Industrial Estate. Beyond parcel services, we are expanding our services to our clients to bespoke 2 man delivery services; freight forwarding and warehousing. Ascendex is committed to delivering top-tier logistics services tailored to client needs.


Our partnership with APC, our core business, gives us coverage of NE, SR and DH postcodes, as well as international shipping, with an already extensive client base we are looking to grow our presence in the region beyond 2026

Role Description


We are seeking a highly motivated full-time Business Development Manager, either currently in a similar role or an experienced account manager looking to step up into this role. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, conducting market research, and contributing to sales strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their logistics needs, collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions, and drive growth through proactive prospecting and client engagement.


Qualifications


  • Proficiency in Business Development, Sales, and Account Management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience in Market Research and Strategic Planning
  • Understanding of logistics, supply chain, and 3PL services
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
