About the Role

This position provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to drive business development activity across the company’s branch network. The role focuses on developing strong customer relationships, uncovering new markets and opportunities, and increasing sales performance, supporting the company’s continued success as a leading merchant within the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities with trade customers, contractors, and commercial clients.

Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners.

Create and implement effective sales strategies to deliver revenue growth and meet agreed targets across designated areas.

Collaborate closely with branch managers and internal teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality service offering to customers.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform business development plans.

Prepare and deliver sales proposals, tenders, and performance reports to support growth initiatives.

Requirements / Skills:

Demonstrated experience in a business development or sales role within the plumbing and bathroom showroom sectors.

Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of P&L, margin control, and wholesale operations.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a strong customer-centric mindset.

Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets while building sustainable, profitable relationships.

Highly motivated and proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a wider team.

Strong IT skills, including experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
