Are you a proven recruiter who loves winning business, building relationships, and shaping a growing branch? This established recruitment agency (turnover £3m+) is expanding and now needs a driven Business Development Manager to grow their Industrial division across the Wakefield area.
Theyre a straight-talking, honest, people-first business that prides itself on long-term partnerships and high-quality recruitment solutions. If you want autonomy, trust, and the chance to make a visible impact, youll feel right at home.
The Opportunity
Youll take ownership of developing the Industrial desk, focusing on SME clients initially and progressing into larger accounts as the division scales. This is a hands-on, proactive sales role where your recruitment industry experience will be essential.
What Youll Be Doing
- Proactively canvassing and visiting prospective clients to understand hiring needs and convert new business.
- Growing and nurturing the existing client base through regular contact and relationship-building.
- Identifying opportunities for expansion within the local Industrial market.
- Monitoring competitor activity and spotting future growth areas.
- Preparing proposals, supplier agreements, and tailored recruitment solutions.
- Managing your own diary and pipeline with full autonomy while collaborating with the wider team.
What Youll Bring
- Proven outbound sales experience within the recruitment industry (essential).
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- A track record of building long-term client relationships.
- Tenacity, positivity, and resilience in a target-driven environment.
- Highly organised approach with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence.
