About the role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the sales, growth, and market positioning of the Dream Girl Hair Extension brand across the UK and European markets.

This is a high-impact target driven role suited to a commercial sales professional from an FMCG, salon, or professional beauty background, with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships, open new accounts, and expand distribution channels across B2B and B2C (online) platforms.

This role plays a key role in accelerating brand growth, working closely with senior leadership and international sales team to strengthen Dream Girl's presence and revenue performance across multiple markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for existing and new Dream Girl hair extension ranges across the UK & EU
  • Drive revenue growth across B2B (salons, distributors, wholesalers) and B2C online channels
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new business opportunities, accounts, and sales channels
  • Generate leads and sales through proactive methods including customer visits, cold calling, presentations, and networking
  • Open new accounts through strong negotiation, pitching, and closing skills
  • Forecast sales performance, track KPIs, and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies

Brand Development & Market Expansion

  • Lead brand positioning initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership, marketing, and international sales teams
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis, identifying trends, gaps, and growth opportunities
  • Extend product reach by identifying new routes to market and commercial partnerships
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Dream Girl, internally and externally

Product & Commercial Management

  • Maintain strong product knowledge and oversee product quality within the supply chain
  • Support packaging and repackaging initiatives where required
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, proposals, pricing structures, and promotional materials
  • Ensure all sales collateral is up to date and aligned with brand standards

Account Management & Relationships

  • Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with salons, distributors, buyers, and partners
  • Assess customer needs, awareness, and commercial potential
  • Deliver excellent account management to drive repeat business and brand loyalty
  • Events & Industry Engagement
  • Attend and coordinate trade shows, exhibitions, industry events, kiosks, and sales events
  • Lead event stands and promotional activity to drive brand visibility and sales

Leadership & Culture

  • Drive a sales-led, performance-driven culture
  • Mentor and support team members to achieve individual and team targets
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, finance, and international teams

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

· Several years’ experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Brand Management role

· FMCG sales experience (mandatory)

· Proven experience working in a target-driven, commercial sales environment

· Strong track record of opening new accounts and driving revenue growth

· Highly Desirable:

· Experience within hair extensions, salons, professional beauty, or cosmetics

· Existing industry contacts within salons, distributors, or beauty retail

· Field sales experience across the UK and/or Europe

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors or Masters in Business field or any related field preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

· Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking

· Highly organised with excellent time management

· Confident presenter to salon owners, buyers, and senior stakeholders

· Target-oriented with a resilient, determined mindset

· Strong negotiation, closing, and account management skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-growing brand.
