This role would suit someone at an early stage in their career who is confident, motivated and keen to build strong relationships with customers while developing their commercial skillset.

Job Purpose Summary
Responsible for developing and maintaining customer accounts with the objective of maximising revenue in line with the Company’s long and short-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Build and maintain a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
Develop a clear understanding of customer needs and business requirements
Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries using appropriate methods
Source products in line with customer requirements and Company guidelines
Liaise with internal teams to optimise service delivery, business growth and customer satisfaction
Resolve customer and supplier issues, including financial queries where required
Attend and contribute to customer meetings, representing the Company in a professional manner
Identify and report on market trends and customer activity
Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities
Promote the Company to prospective customers in a professional and engaging manner
Monitor competitor activity and gather relevant market intelligence
Maintain accurate and up to date records within the customer database
Ensure all sales administration is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Support account planning activities where required
Attend industry events when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

Confident communicator who is comfortable speaking with customers over the phone
Positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
Strong relationship-building skills
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous sales or customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential
