Background
Our client is a technology-focused organisation specialising in secure and modern workplace solutions. They support businesses in improving collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency through cloud technologies, automation, and innovative IT services.
As part of their continued growth, they are expanding the Sales Development function to help identify new business opportunities and build meaningful relationships with potential clients.
Overall Purpose of the Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) acts as the first point of engagement for potential new customers. Using provided prospect data aligned to the organisation’s Ideal Client Profile, you will conduct proactive outreach to identify qualified opportunities and guide prospects through the early stages of an established sales process.
This role offers the chance to build strong sales foundations, develop technology knowledge, and work closely with both internal teams and external technology stakeholders. You’ll be nurtured with training, mentoring, events, and modern sales tools (including AI support) to help you succeed and progress.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition
* Conduct 50–100 outbound calls per day to engage prospective clients.
* Accurately update CRM systems with conversation outcomes and use AI-driven sales tools to refine outreach strategies.
* Promote attendance at online and in‑person events that highlight emerging technologies and key industry challenges.
* Develop knowledge of relevant technologies to confidently discuss customer pain points and recommend potential solutions.
* Identify and qualify opportunities using BANT criteria before handing over to the account management team.
* Maintain ongoing engagement with leads to support progression in the sales cycle where required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* 50–100 outreach calls per day, resulting in:
* 8–12 webinar attendances per month
* 2–6 in‑person event attendances per month
* 8–12 qualified new business meetings per month for account management
Hybrid Working Expectations
The role requires presence in the office 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home

Essential
* Confident communicator, comfortable building new relationships.

* Strong storytelling and persuasion skills.
* High levels of resilience, persistence, and adaptability.
* Enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

* Strong questioning skills to identify customer challenges and match them to relevant solutions.
Desirable
Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or technology environment.
Previous success in new business acquisition or outbound sales.

Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: up to £30,000
OTE: £56,000 (realistic, achievable)
