The Business and Finance Manager will lead on financial planning and analysis, translating complex financial information into clear insights to support partner decision-making. The postholder will work closely with the Practice Manager to deliver both strategic and operational objectives.Main duties of the jobEnsuring that the practice is economically secure, financial controls are met and that staff are employed in a consistent and ethical fashion.They will report to the two managing GP partners on a weekly basis.They will meet both their individual and joint aims and responsibilities.Job responsibilitiesThe Business and Finance Manager will lead on financial planning and analysis, translating complex financial information into clear insights to support partner decision-making. The postholder will work closely with the Practice Manager to deliver both strategic and operational objectives.Provide regular reportsEnter accounts data and reconcile monthlyRun staff payroll and process PAYE & Superannuation monthlyChase paymentsProduce necessary reports for the partners as requestedLiaise with partner or staff member regarding planned and unplanned building maintenance and to ensure all necessary building surveys are carried outInstigate and facilitate lease negotiationsCo-ordinate 3 yearly notional rent reviewStaff related issues including staff grievance and disciplinary mattersRecruitment and selectionMaintain good knowledge of and apply employment lawProvide mentorship to junior management staffMaintenance of HR records including up-to-date DBS checksMaintain good knowledge of Practice CQC requirementsMaintain all documentation pertaining to CQCLiaise with the PartnersInformation Governance LeadOversee and co-ordinate the completion of relevant documents and ensure policies are being followedDeal with complaintsDiscuss significant events at partnership meetingsMeet with one of the Partners each weekAll other duties reasonably expected of this post but not listed above.QualificationsProficient in using XeroFinancial management and budgeting skillsKnowledge of HR lawAble to organise and supervise financial investigations as requiredGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of QOF, QIF, GMS and other NHS/Non-NHS contractsFurther professional qualifications1+ year in primary care1+ year in the private sectorUnderstanding of CQC requirementsExperienceProficiency with XeroA strong history of being trusted with positions of responsibilityExperience outside of the NHSExperience of North Staffordshire and knowledge of the issues facing the Staffordshire Moorlands.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
