Business Analyst | Precious Metals, Energy & Commodities Trading | Up to £800/Day Inside IR35 | 6 months rolling | Hybrid

Business Analyst, specialising in Precious Metals / Metals and specifically working on Regulatory Reporting projects, is needed for a commodities & energy trading firm focused on regulatory reporting for a new desk within the energy trading sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precious metals or metals more generally, and be familiar with physical commodities rather than derivatives. With their continued growth and onboarding of new products, in line with regulatory changes, they need a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to work on the project lifecycle, including business requirements analysis, functional specification of changes, testing, and support of UAT.

As a Precious Metals Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst, you’ll need to prepare and submit reports in compliance with EMIR, MiFID, MAR, MAS, and Dodd-Frank regulations, analyze trading data using SQL and Indexes, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth desk operations.

This is a 6-month rolling contract

Paying up to £800/Day Inside IR35

Hybrid working: 3 days per week in Central London

Key responsibilities include:

1. Preparing and submitting regulatory reports in compliance with EMIR, MiFID, MAR, MAS, and Dodd-Frank regulations.
2. Conducting detailed analysis and reporting around metals trading, focusing on physical commodities rather than derivatives.
3. Working closely with traders, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.
4. Utilizing SQL and Indexes to analyze trading data, generate insights, and support trading decisions and regulatory compliance.
5. Collaborating with stakeholders to set up the new trading desk.
6. Developing and implementing processes for efficient desk operations.
