Prime Video is a fast-paced, high-growth business, available in over 200 countries worldwide. The International Sports team is based in London but with team members in key territories around the world.
We're looking for an experienced Sports Rights Executive to join this team. The role is responsible for developing, negotiating and securing opportunities for sports investments and partnerships on behalf of Prime Video. You will work with and be guided by the Head of Sports Rights and Business Affairs. You will also partner with Legal, Financial and other internal teams in negotiating deals to conclusion, and managing wider relationships across the sports industry in order to surface and define new opportunities.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify and develop new sports rights opportunities for Prime Video, through external relationship building and research
- Support Head of Rights and Business Affairs on major opportunities
- Work with internal Strategy and Finance teams to build business case for investment
- Prepare bid materials and/or negotiate with sports federations
- Act as commercial point for rights agreements, working closely with Legal
- Support ongoing relationship with federations and commercial partners
- Manage and grow adjacent commercialisation of live sports rights
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in an account management, licensing or business development role
- Experience in negotiating complex agreements with an understanding of legal terminology and reasoning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience within the sports industry from either a broadcaster, federation or agency- Technology affinity with a natural interest in internet services and applications and enthusiasm for technical innovation
