About The Role

We are seeking a capable and confident Team Manager to lead our Bureau and Invoice Validation services, supporting clients across a wide range of sectors.

Within our Utility Management Division, the Bureau team delivers essential outsourced functions that help clients maintain financial control and achieve ongoing savings.

Reporting to the Head of Bureau, this role is responsible for managing a team of Bureau Analysts and overseeing the full process - from invoice validation and payment batches to query resolution, enterprise reporting packs, and budget development. The Bureau Manager will bring a passion for developing people, refining processes and workflows, and driving large-scale engagements to ensure our clients receive a professional, efficient and high-quality service.

Oversee the delivery of all client engagements assigned to the Bureau team

Monitor client deliverables on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all timelines are achieved

Serve as client facing main point of contact where senior delivery expertise is required, presenting to internal and external stakeholders as required

Working alongside Account Managers to ensure high levels of service delivery to all clients

Implement and continuously improve processes for standardising service delivery from mobilisation through the full client journey with Optimised

Ensure that queries are responded to efficiently and within our client service SLAs

Oversee controls around scope creep and risk management (including particularly batch issuing, management of debt/disconnection threats, and general data health)

Oversight of quality assurance standards, robust processes and systems within your team

Provide technical guidance to the team and clients in relation to industry knowledge, spanning all commodity and non-commodity charges across electricity, gas and water.

Take the lead, along with Procurement and the Head of Bureau, in managing supplier relationships to enable efficient query resolution

Oversee key bureau process including Change of Tenancies, Disconnections, Meter Readings, Debt Notices.

Oversee the Bureau budgeting and reporting suite, being the first port of call for internal and external queries.

Analyse resource needs based on client engagement requirements and develop resource plans

Manage and support recruitment, on-boarding, career planning, training and developing your team, including mentoring new and less experienced members

Lead, develop and manage the people within your team, including probation reviews, 1:1s, appraisals and underperformance in line with company expectations and through early intervention, ensuring you seek and give feedback on what works and what does not and realignment
