Building Surveyor - London, South East England\nA leading construction consultancy based in the heart of London are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Surveyor to join their team dynamic. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.\nResponsibilities:\n * Ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule.\n * Advise clients on schemes and projects and determine requirements.\n * Prepare scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works.\n * Organise documents for tender and advise on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes.\n * Determine the condition of existing buildings, identify and analyse defects, including proposals for repair.\n * Advise on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable construction.\n * Instruct on the preservation/conservation of historic buildings.\n * Advise on the management and supervision of maintenance of buildings.\n * Deal with planning applications and advise on property legislation and building regulations.\n * Assess and design buildings to meet the needs of people with disabilities.\n * Instruct on construction design and management regulations.\n * Negotiate dilapidations (when there is a legal liability for a property's state of disrepair).\n * Carry out feasibility studies.\n * Advise on the health and safety aspects of buildings.\n * Advise on boundary and 'right to light' disputes and party wall procedures.\n * Prepare insurance assessments and claims.\nRequirements:\n * Minimum of 3 years of experience in building surveying.\n * Strong knowledge of building construction, defects, and maintenance.\n * Excellent report-writing and communication skills.\n * Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools.\n * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.\n * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n * A proactive and client-focused approach.\nWhat We Offer:\n * Competitive salary and benefits package.\n * Opportunities for professional development and career progression.\n * A supportive and collaborative work environment.\n * Exposure to a diverse range of projects in a prestigious location.\nIf you are a dedicated Building Surveyor looking to advance your career with a reputable and growing business, we would love to hear from you.\nSalary – to £50,000
