Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:Deliver a broad range of building surveying services across multiple sectors and projectsUndertake and lead condition surveys, measured surveys, defect diagnosis and technical due diligencePrepare detailed reports, specifications, schedules of work and technical documentationManage and deliver project management and contract administration dutiesLead refurbishment, maintenance and small-to-medium capital projects from inception through to completionAct as a key point of contact within multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project deliveryBuild and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service deliverySupport and mentor junior team members where appropriateEnsure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards across all projectsRequirements Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline (RICS-accredited preferred)Progressing towards or recently achieved professional membership (e.g. MRICS)Proven experience in building surveying within a consultancy or similar environmentStrong understanding of building pathology, construction processes and statutory complianceExperience in project management and contract administration across pre- and post-contract stagesGood working knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC)Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools advantageousStrong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with good organisational skillsWhat's on Offer:Structured support towards Chartership, including a formal APC programme and further developmentAccess to technical training and industry-leading toolsOpportunity to work on diverse and high-impact projectsFlexible and hybrid working patterns - perfect for someone looking for a good work-life balancePlus MORE!Sounds interesting?
