Building Surveyor – Damp & Mould Hyperion Partners is proud to be working in partnership with a respected Housing Association located near London Bridge, recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong focus on Damp & Mould investigations and remediation.

This is a key technical role supporting resident safety, regulatory compliance, and service improvement within occupied social housing.

The Role

As Building Surveyor, you will take ownership of Damp & Mould cases across a varied housing stock, providing clear diagnosis, technical solutions, and assurance that works are delivered effectively and in line with current legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

* Carrying out Damp & Mould inspections across occupied homes

* Diagnosing root causes (condensation, penetrating damp, rising damp, thermal bridging)

* Producing clear survey reports, schedules of works, and specifications

* Applying HHSRS, Awaab’s Law principles, and internal Damp & Mould policies

* Instructing and managing contractors through remedial works

* Undertaking pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality and compliance

* Supporting complaint, escalation, and Ombudsman cases with robust technical evidence

* Working collaboratively with repairs, housing management, and compliance teams

* Maintaining accurate records on housing management systems
