Job Description

We are currently supporting a real estate investor and operator in the search for a Building Safety & Technical Compliance Manager (12 month FTC) to oversee safety and regulatory compliance across a student accommodation portfolio. This is a key role responsible for ensuring assets comply with the Building Safety Act, fire safety legislation and health & safety regulations, while supporting acquisitions and asset management teams on technical due diligence and risk management.

The role will focus on ensuring Higher-Risk Buildings meet Building Safety Regulator requirements, while embedding a strong culture of safety and compliance across the portfolio.


Key responsibilities:


• Leading the preparation of Building Safety Case Reports and Safety Case Files

• Managing engagement with the Building Safety Regulator

• Maintaining the Golden Thread of building safety information

• Overseeing remediation works arising from FRAs and PAS 9980 assessments

• Delivering health & safety audits and compliance reviews

• Leading technical due diligence on acquisitions and developments

• Assessing building fabric, M&E systems and life safety risks

• Managing external consultants including fire engineers and building surveyors


We are keen to speak with professionals who have:


• Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and UK fire safety legislation

• Experience within PBSA, BTR or residential high-rise assets

• Experience delivering Safety Case Reports and building safety compliance programmes

• Technical understanding of building systems and life safety infrastructure
