Job Description

Adecco are recruiting for an Building Maintenance Operative to assist in driving the efficiency and quality of planned and reactive maintenance across a large portfolio of premium student accommodation in Manchester.\n\nPlease note, you MUST be a driver with access to a vehicle to be considered for this position.\n\nMonday -Friday, and every other weekend (with a day off during the week when working at the weekend).\n\nPlease call Jessica at Adecco Manchester to discuss your availability if it differs from above\n\nCore hours 09:00- 17:00\n\nFlexibility to attend urgent call-outs when required\n\nSalary dependant on experience - £30,000-£35,000\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\n\nFuel covered\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nHands -On Maintenance\n\nPerform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, joinery, and general repairs to a high standards.\n\nRespond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.\n\nPlanned Maintenance:\n\nCarry out scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance across multiple properties.\n\nMaintain accurate records of completed work and report any recurring issues.\n\nCompliance & Safety:\n\nAdhere to statutory requirements and company policies for building maintenance.\n\nPromote a safe working environment for yourself and your team member.\n\nCustomer Service\n\nProvide a high level of customer service whilst carrying out planned works and repairs, engaging professionally with tenants, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, and any other tenant concerns are addressed whilst in attendance. \n\nWhat we're looking for\n\nHigh levels of organisation to manage the planned and reactive maintenance of a large portfolio of premium accommodation (180 properties - houses/flats/apartments)\nA people-first approach\nAn extensive skill set across basic Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical and General Building Maintenance, including Painting and Decorating\nA flexible approach and the ability to attend urgent call-out's if required. \n\nTo discuss the role or your application, please contact Jess at Adecco Manchester.\n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
