Food & Beverage Supervisor

to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for someone with previous experience within a Food & Beverage Supervisor role with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail who enjoys delivering personalised service to guests. This position reports into the Food & Beverage Manager.

Location: The Rubens at the Palace Hotel Employment type: Permanent Working pattern : Shifts starts ranging from 5:30am-8:00am

Key Responsibilities of a Food & Beverage Supervisor: Be present on the floor during breakfast and room service hours, ensuring seamless operations and providing guidance to your team. Supervise and motivate a dedicated team, fostering a professional, caring, and positive work environment. Deliver personalised service to our guests, ensuring they feel valued, including addressing them by name and anticipating their needs. Be well-versed in our menus ensuring our guests enjoy the best of what we have to offer. Drive revenue through suggestive selling techniques, second servings, and ensuring every guest enjoys their dining experience. Ensure that every aspect of the service area is impeccably presented, and our service standards are always upheld. Oversee and ensure the smooth running of breakfast, lunch and room service, including functions Update and maintain the departments Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and excellence. Check all drink orders and deliveries upon receipt to ensure accuracy and quality. Familiarise yourself with all daily bookings and guest requirements to facilitate seamless service. Carry out daily cash-ups during late shifts, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability. Liaise effectively with colleagues, management, and kitchen staff to ensure prompt, professional, and efficient service at all times.

What are we looking for? Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a luxury hotel or high-end dining setting. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering personalised and high-quality service. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and leadership abilities, ensuring smooth collaboration with all departments. A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction. Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and evenings.
