Working hand in hand with our part-time Finance Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day financial administration, including data entry and record keeping in Xero, while also supporting operational and logistics related tasks across the business.
We are a small but fast-growing company. While the role will evolve as we grow, it is currently structured as approximately 70 percent finance and 30 percent administration, with the administrative element supporting the sales team on logistics documentation and import export processes.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal reports
- Reconcile bank statements and support day-to-day cash flow management
- Manage credit control and debtor accounts
- Oversee financial aspects of import and export operations, including customs duties, taxes, and logistics-related costs
- Ensure compliance with UK and international financial regulations, including import export requirements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting to support strategic decision making
- Liaise with suppliers, shipping partners, and customs brokers to ensure smooth financial operations for international shipments
- Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to support timely and accurate filings
- Provide general finance and administrative support to the wider team as required
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or finance administration role, ideally within an import export or international trading environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Hands-on experience using accounting software such as Xero, and strong proficiency in Excel
- Experience managing transactions across multiple currencies and territories
- Familiarity with customs processes, import export documentation, and trade tariffs
- High attention to detail with a structured and organised approach to work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional teams
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous but not essential
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with internal teams and external partners
