About the Role
We're looking for a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions across commercial and industrial environments.
You'll play a key role in commissioning, optimising, and troubleshooting BMS systems-ensuring performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a best-in-class service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction Conduct site inspections and system assessments (HVAC, lighting, controls) Define project scope and requirements with clients and project managers Develop and initiate commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules Configure and programme BMS hardware and software (controllers, sensors, interfaces) Perform functional testing and validate system performance Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and post-installation Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimise system performance Provide training and support to end users Produce commissioning documentation, reports, and as-built drawings Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and BMS capabilities
About You
3+ years' experience in BMS commissioning and troubleshooting (commercial and/or industrial) Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control strategies Experience with Trend, Schneider, Tridium or Sigma systems (preferred) Proficient in configuring and programming BEMS components Familiar with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Detail-oriented with a structured approach to project delivery Team-focused with a collaborative mindset Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability standards, and UK regulations (advantageous) Full UK driving licence
