Biological Lead Scientist

Key Responsibilities
Lead characterisation work packages for early-phase biologics projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory and scientific expectations.
Design and oversee studies related to protein structure, function, and degradation using advanced analytical techniques (e.g., mass spectrometry, AUC, higher-order structural methods).
Drive critical quality attribute (CQA) assessments and contribute to control strategy development.
Author and review scientific protocols, reports, and risk assessments.
Manage documentation, resource planning, and data presentation at cross-functional project meetings.
Collaborate with internal teams across formulation, analytical development, upstream/downstream processing, regulatory, and QA.
Engage with global colleagues and external partners, including academic institutions and contract labs.
Essential Qualifications
Strong scientific background in protein chemistry and biologics characterisation.
Proven experience in project leadership within a scientific or technical environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
