We’re working with a highly respected, award-winning construction and civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across Northern Ireland and the UK. With a growing portfolio spanning residential, commercial, education, and infrastructure projects, this organisation is known for delivering quality, prioritising safety, and making a positive impact on local communities.
Due to continued success, they are now seeking an experienced Bid Writer / Bid Manager to join their dynamic and collaborative work-winning team.
The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external consultants to plan, develop, and deliver compelling bids, from early-stage PQQs through to final tender submissions. Your ability to transform technical information into clear, engaging, and persuasive content will play a key role in securing future projects.

️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing win strategies and planning bid responses
- Reviewing PQQ and tender requirements to define submission approaches
- Researching and gathering insights to strengthen bid quality
- Leading assigned bids from kick-off through to submission
- Writing, editing, and refining high-quality, client-focused responses
- Collaborating with technical teams and external consultants
- Preparing presentations and interview materials
- Maintaining bid content within internal systems and software
- Supporting continuous improvement through feedback and process updates
- Visiting project sites to gather information for case studies and submissions

- Strong organisational ability with experience managing multiple deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Confident working both independently and collaboratively
- Skilled in producing engaging, professional bid documents and presentations
Your Experience
- Proven track record in delivering successful PQQs, tenders, and proposals
- Experience within construction or civil engineering (essential)
- Strong time management and ability to perform under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation tools
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in bid writing within construction or civil engineering
- Third-level qualification (desirable), ideally in a related field
