Location: Yeovil - on-site based role


Gi Group are seeking for an experienced and proactive Bid/ Proposal Manager to join an international aerospace organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering strategic bids and proposals across multiple markets.


THE ROLE:

What you’ll be doing:

  • The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex bids and proposals, ensuring all submissions are delivered on time and in line with customer requirements.
  • Acting as the focal point for each bidding opportunity, you will direct cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams to deliver technically accurate and competitively priced proposals.
  • You will work closely with Campaign Managers to develop bid strategies, setting out win themes and aligning the proposal with the client's operational and commercial goals.
  • This role covers both domestic and international markets, requiring close collaboration with market teams and potential travel to key locations for bid submissions.
  • You will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, including familiarisation workshops and accredited bid management courses, supporting your professional growth in the bid management sector.


THE CANDIDATE:

  • We’re looking for an experienced professionals with a proven track record in bid, project or programme management, preferably within engineering, technology, or related industries.
  • You should demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into clear, compelling proposals.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams, managing competing priorities, and ensuring technical and commercial compliance are essential.
  • A passion for professional development and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-market environment is also highly valued.
