Bid Manager
About Harmony Fire
Harmony Fire is experiencing significant growth across the Social Housing sector and expanding into new and emerging industries that are shaping the future of building safety and compliance. As our work-winning activity accelerates, we are strengthening our bid function to support that growth.
We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our mission is simple: protect people, properties and communities through exceptional compliance services and unwavering commitment to excellence. As we grow, so does our impact — and the Bid Manager will play an important role in delivering high-quality, compliant bids that help us win meaningful work.
The Role
We are looking for a Bid Manager to coordinate and produce tender submissions across Social Housing, fire safety, asset compliance and related sectors. This is a hands-on delivery role responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process — ensuring every submission is well-organised, compliant, accurate and aligned with client requirements.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Operations, Commercial, Business Development, HSQE, Sustainability, Finance and other key teams to gather information, develop clear responses and maintain high standards across all documentation. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage bids from launch to submission, ensuring compliant, accurate and high-quality responses
• Coordinate stakeholder contributions and maintain clear communication throughout each tender
• Research clients, sectors and tender requirements to tailor responses
• Produce clear, compelling written content and support quality assurance
• Ensure all documentation aligns with Harmony’s standards and brand
• Use AI and drafting tools to improve efficiency and consistency
• Maintain and update the bid resource library, including standard responses, CVs, evidence and supporting documents
• Support the improvement of bid content, evidence and templates across the team
• Manage Salesforce governance gateways and ensure accurate reporting of tender information
• Support clarification questions, portal uploads and client communications
• Monitor tender portals and identify relevant opportunities for the Bid/No Bid process
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the bid function
What You’ll Bring
• Experience managing and writing tender submissions within Social Housing, fire safety, maintenance, compliance, FM or similar sectors
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Good project management and organisational skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and timelines
• Confidence working with commercial and operational information
• Proactive, structured and able to work independently
• Degree-level education or equivalent; APMP (or working toward) beneficial
Our Values
• Athletes Grit – Determination, resilience and drive to deliver excellence
• Captains Duty – Accountability, leadership and ownership
• Fun Loving Heart – Positivity, energy and genuine support for others
Why Join Us
• Be part of a growing bid function supporting Harmony’s next phase of expansion
• Work on meaningful tenders across Social Housing and new industry sectors
• Develop your skills with structured training and a bespoke Personal Development Plan
• Collaborate with experienced stakeholders across the business
• Enjoy a modern, supportive and high-performing team environment
Benefits
• Unlimited holiday
• Bonus scheme up to 50% of annual salary
• Lunch, snacks, refreshments and Takeaway Friday
• Team socialising budget
• Enhanced family-friendly policies
• Cycle to Work scheme
• Reward and Recognition programme with European mini-breaks
• Two annual company events
• Auto-enrolment pension scheme
