ABOUT THIS ROLE The Bar Host will support the Bar & Events team in the smooth running of the bar, both on a day-to-day basis and during events and private viewings. They will assist with stock management and sales . Suitable candidates will be self motivated and have the ability to prioritise and manage their time and workload within a busy working environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES General ? Support cafe service during the day including preparation of speciality coffees ? Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ? Interact with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking and delivering drink orders ? Driving sales and ensuring excellent customer service is being delivered at all times ? Deliver a welcoming environment for all visitors to Lightroom ? Maintaining the cafe bar, follow opening and closing down procedures, ensuring the venue and service area are always clean, tidy, organised and stocked ? Ensuring stock is displayed, readily available and have good product knowledge ? Support the delivery of bespoke events in the venue ? Report any maintenance issues ? Knowledge of alcohol and service laws and the confidence to enforce them PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential ? Previous bar / cafe experience ? Strong organisational skills ? Excellent communication skills ? Enthusiastic, responsible, proactive and flexible approach to work ? Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment ? Security and safety conscious ? Good level of IT literacy ? Articulate, good clear communicator who is proactive in their approach to work ? Punctual and reliable ? High standards of confidentiality, initiative and tact Desirable ? Barista experience ? Interest in the arts ? Knowledge of Microsoft office and Smartsheet ? Previous stock taking experience
