We are currently recruiting experienced and qualified Banksmen to join a busy London bus garage.
You will play a vital role in the evening operations by guiding vehicles safely in and out of the garage. This position is perfect for individuals who are alert, safety-focused, and confident in depot vehicle movement.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely direct buses within the depot using approved hand signals
Assist with reversing and bay parking
Maintain clear communication with drivers and depot staff
Identify and report any hazards or safety concerns
Ensure pedestrian walkways remain clear and safe
Support basic visual checks during movements
Follow all health & safety procedures on site
Requirements:
Valid Banksman qualification (Essential)
Previous experience in a similar role (Preferred)
Strong understanding of vehicle movement safety protocols
Confident communicator with good hand signal practice
Reliable, punctual, and consistent for evening shift work
High attention to detail and situational awareness
