The practice acts for a mix of financial institutions, corporates and private clients, with a steady flow of both domestic and cross-border matters. The team is known for being busy without the typical intensity seen in larger City outfits, and offers a more sustainable long-term platform for associates.

The Role

This is a broad Banking & Finance position advising both lenders and borrowers across syndicated, club and bilateral financings. The work is varied, with exposure to general corporate lending as well as elements of restructuring and insolvency where relevant. Real estate finance experience would be helpful but is not essential.

The structure allows for meaningful client contact and responsibility earlier on, alongside a more predictable workload. Annual hours are typically around ~1300, and the team has a strong track record of developing associates through to partnership.

Requirements

• 2–5 PQE Banking & Finance Associate with experience at a city or strong regional firm
• Solid grounding in general banking work (broad experience preferred)
• Commercially minded, with the ability to take ownership of matters
