Are you an experienced finance leader with a proven track record in strategic financial management within a complex organisation? In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the financial future of the Trust, leading on strategy, planning, and performance. Read on to find out more about this exciting opportunity. Your Duties: Lead, in conjunction with the Director of Finance, on the production of a Financial Strategy and associated financial plans to support annual budget setting and monthly financial performance reporting. Provide strategic business and financial advice to Directors, Senior Operational Managers, and Budget Managers to support decision-making at the highest level. Co-develop the Capital Investment Strategy and oversee its implementation and monitoring. Monitor financial performance management, efficiency programmes, Value for Money initiatives, and benchmarking activities. Develop a financial framework for business cases and oversee their evaluation. Lead the development of a Costing and Financial Appraisal System to provide timely, accurate, and accessible information aligned to organisational needs. Negotiate annually with Commissioners on the Service & Budget Agreement, producing the annual Financial Plan and associated budgets. Act as a senior member of the Finance Team, contributing to the departments strategic direction and deputising for the Director of Finance as required. Ensure the development and training of staff in line with organisational and directorate priorities. Your Profile: Full membership of one of the five professional accounting institutes within the CCAB or CIMA. Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience (within the last 6 years) in a senior management finance role in a major complex organisation, with evidence of continuing professional development. Proven track record of delivering against challenging performance and financial management programmes for at least 3 years, achieving key targets and driving significant improvements. Current full UK driving licence and access to a car (criteria waived for applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have suitable alternative transport). Skills & Abilities: Minimum of 3 years experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. At least 2 years experience in high-level people management, governance, leadership, and organisational skills. Experience of financial services in a major complex organisation. Your Benefits: £37.99 per hour. Pension Contribution. Additional Information: Full-time, Temporary. 37.5 hours per week. Based at Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Belfast.
