Hourly rate/salary - Negotiable
I’m working with a large acute NHS hospital that is looking for an experienced Band 8a Oncology Pharmacist to join its cancer services team.
If you’re an oncology / haematology pharmacist who enjoys complex clinical work and wants more influence over how services are run, this is a great next step.
The role
- Lead pharmacist for oncology / SACT within a busy hospital setting
- Advanced clinical input to oncology wards and day units
- Involvement in specialist oncology clinics and pathways
- Key role in SACT governance, protocols and guidelines
- Supervision and development of band 6/7 pharmacists, technicians and trainees
- Lead and support audits, QI and service development in cancer services
About you
- GPhC registered pharmacist with solid hospital oncology/SACT experience
- Confident in high-level clinical decision making
- Experience supporting junior staff and contributing to service development
- Independent Prescriber (or working towards / keen to complete IP)
