Bakery Manager

New Today

We are looking for a full time Bakery Manager for a new bakery in Copthorne and we need people who are as excited as us about all things bakery! Hours are negotiable but early mornings are essential.

General Duties:

* Daily opening of the shop, filling counter, turning on ovens and light baking duties, cutting and displaying products ready for consumption

* Liaise with Business Owner regularly to discuss ideas, what's working well, any new ideas of how to improve sales.

* Create a welcoming environment for all customers on arrival, and throughout their experience within the bakery

* Serving customers, Making coffee and hot drinks

* Ensuring the counter is stays stocked

* Making orders for stock, ingredients and packaging alongside the Baker

* Keep social media up to date

* Maintain clean and tidy shop, counter and kitchen, light cleaning duties and bin emptying

* Oversee part time staff, ensuring everyone knows their duties and what is required of them that day.

Requirements:

• Must have bakery knowledge and experience in some capacity to be able to manage and assist the bakery team members

• Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
