Azure Platform Architect - Outside IR35 - Hybrid

Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI/Data Engineer to design and build a scalable platform that automates the extraction, reconciliation, and reporting of investment data from private fund documentation. This role will focus on transforming large volumes of unstructured data into structured, compliant datasets and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
\n
1. Document Extraction & Ingestion
\n
\n
Develop and implement AI-driven solutions to extract key data from complex, unstructured private fund documents (e.g., PDFs, reports, statements)
\n
Design ingestion pipelines to process documentation across ~200 funds efficiently and reliably
\n
Apply prompt engineering techniques and Azure AI tooling to improve extraction accuracy and consistency
\n
Ensure data quality, validation, and traceability throughout the ingestion process
\n
\n
2. Data Reconciliation & Compliance Alignment
\n
\n
Reconcile extracted data with existing internal datasets and systems
\n
Build logic and workflows to identify discrepancies, flag exceptions, and ensure alignment with investment compliance requirements
\n
Collaborate with compliance and investment teams to refine rules and validation frameworks
\n
Maintain audit-ready data pipelines that meet regulatory standards
\n
\n
3. Reporting & Stakeholder Insights
\n
\n
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
\n
Translate reconciled data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders
\n
Automate reporting workflows to support ongoing monitoring and decision-making
\n
Ensure reports are scalable, accurate, and aligned with business and compliance needs
\n
\n
Required Skills & Experience
\n
\n
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Services and Azure AI tooling
\n
Proven expertise in AI/ML-driven document processing and unstructured data extraction
\n
Solid understanding of prompt engineering and working with large models
\n
Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
\n
Advanced Power BI skills, including dashboard design and data modeling
\n
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering best practices
\n
Experience working with financial data, ideally within private funds or investment management
\n
