Job Description Data Solutions Architect Any Cloud (Banking)
Location: London, United Kingdom (Flexible Hybrid Working)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to join its growing Data Management practice. This is a strategic, client-facing role focused on modernising data platforms within the banking sector , enabling large-scale cloud transformation and data-driven decision-making.
You will lead architecture design, influence enterprise data strategies, and guide technical delivery across cloud ecosystems like Azure , AWS , or GCP . Architect and oversee the delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms (data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses) using tools like Databricks , Snowflake , Synapse , and Azure Fabric
Define and execute cloud migration strategies, leveraging CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and GitHub
Advise senior client stakeholders (CDOs, CIOs, Heads of Data) on data strategy, governance, and platform modernisation
Design robust ETL/ELT frameworks with Azure Data Factory , SSIS , Informatica , or IBM DataStage
Lead data modelling using ERwin , ER/Studio , or PowerDesigner
Implement data governance and quality frameworks using Unity Catalog , Profisee , Alation , or similar platforms
10+ years in BI, data warehousing, and analytics, including 4+ years in solution architecture roles
~ Significant experience in the banking sector (commercial, retail, investment, or regulatory)
~ Strong background in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data stack
~ Experience with enterprise data modelling and business intelligence tools such as Power BI , Tableau , or QlikView
~ Cloud certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a strong advantage
