About this Position:

An Avionics Engineer is required to support the design, analysis, integration, and testing of advanced avionics systems used within aerospace programmes. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the role will contribute to the development of innovative, high-reliability solutions across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to validation and delivery. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically complex systems in a fast-paced environment where safety, performance, and precision are critical.

Job Responsibilities:

* Design and develop avionics systems in line with technical and industry standards

* Produce schematics, circuit designs, and embedded system layouts

* Carry out system integration, testing, and validation in laboratory environments

* Analyse test data to improve system performance and reliability

* Investigate technical issues and perform root cause analysis

* Support project delivery from concept through to completion

* Work with multidisciplinary teams to meet technical requirements and deadlines

* Provide technical guidance on system assembly and installation

* Maintain accurate engineering documentation and technical reports

Experience Required:

* Experience in systems engineering within aerospace, defence, or similar high-reliability sectors

* Strong background in schematic capture, circuit design, and PCB layout

* Experience using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD

* Strong programming skills in C++, Python, and MATLAB

* Experience with embedded systems development and data analysis

* Familiarity with laboratory testing, data collection, and system validation

* Experience performing root cause analysis across complex engineering systems

* Understanding of GD&T principles and mechanical tolerances

* Knowledge of PLC integration within complex systems is desirable

* Strong organisational and project management skills within technical environments
