Senior Automation Engineer Our client, a global technology-driven execution specialist operating across EMEA, is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to modernise their automated testing framework and lead automation of post-deployment smoke tests in production. This role is critical to enhancing the SDLC for a complex, distributed trading platform, requiring a broad QA/DevOps skillset and deep financial systems knowledge. Role Responsibilities Lead functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of trading applications. Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases. Enhance the existing automated testing framework. Implement automated smoke test tooling for production environments. Collaborate with teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. Provide third-tier support for production issues. Essential Experience / Skills 5+ years' experience in automated testing of equity products within financial services or a vendor environment, using Python, Java, or similar. Proven background testing capacity- and latency-sensitive trading systems. Proficiency in Linux, SQL, messaging, and distributed systems. Understanding of equity market structure, order handling, and electronic trading. Experience working across the full agile software development lifecycle in a technical role. Desirable Proven track record of delivering platforms/services across multiple teams. Experience with AWS migrations and application management.
