Job Description
Automation & Control Engineer
Sheffield
Up to £55k + bonus
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading UK manufacturing site who are looking for an experienced Automation & Control Engineer to take ownership of on-site control and automation systems supporting a high-volume production environment.
You’ll be the go-to technical specialist for PLCs, SCADA and electrical control systems, focused on fault-finding, system reliability and continuous improvement.
Key experience required:
Strong hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
Solid background with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens control platforms
Experience supporting live manufacturing or process environments
SCADA and HMI exposure within industrial settings
Ability to diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis and support commissioning activity
Comfortable working as a site-based technical lead, liaising with maintenance teams and external suppliers
Desirable:
Industrial networking knowledge (eg Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
Continuous improvement or Lean / Six Sigma exposure
Permanent, site-based role offering long-term stability and technical ownership within a well-established manufacturing business.
