Autism Teaching Assistant – The Education Network (Leeds)\n Location: Leeds and surrounding areas\n Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term\n Start Date: ASAP \n Salary: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)\n About the Role\n The Education Network Leeds is recruiting committed and caring Autism Teaching Assistants to support pupils across mainstream schools and specialist provisions in the Leeds area. This role involves providing tailored support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them engage with learning, develop social and communication skills, and feel confident in a structured, supportive environment.\n Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider support teams, you will play a key role in ensuring pupils receive the personalised support they need to succeed.\n Responsibilities:\n\nProviding one-to-one or small-group support to pupils with autism\nSupporting communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation\nImplementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies\nAssisting teachers in adapting activities and delivering lessons\nBuilding positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff\nHelping to maintain a calm, inclusive, and safe learning environmentRequirements:\n\nExperience supporting children or young people with autism or additional needs\nA patient, empathetic, and proactive approach\nStrong communication and behaviour management skills\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team\nA relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential\nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)What The Education Network Offers:\n\nCompetitive daily rates of pay\nAccess to a wide range of Leeds-based mainstream and specialist settings\nA dedicated consultant offering support and guidance\nLong-term and permanent opportunities\nAccess to CPD and ongoing professional development\n\nThe Education Network Offer:\n\nOur specialist team have a combined experience of over 25 years and have unrivalled reputation within the education market, taking great pride in the extremely high service levels that we provide to both our schools and our candidates.
