Autism Support Teaching Assistant -The Role
As an Autism Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide focused 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism * Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans * Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills * Use structured approaches, including visual timetables and sensory strategies * Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support and progress * Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Autism Support Teaching Assistant -The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Experience supporting children with Autism, ideally within a school setting * A strong understanding of ASD and effective classroom-based strategies * A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
